Application Engineer will focus on steering wheel designed and developed in Europe or Asia for production in Mexico. The role entails working closely with Engineers from multiple departments within Autoliv to coordinate tooling and assembly equipment. The Application Engineer will be responsible for the product validation per customer requirements in time to support production launch. Engineer will be the primary technical interface to project manager and internal and external customers. There will be daily interaction with development team members from Europe and/or Asia. This role will be the responsible to represent the interest of Autoliv Matamoros to the global team. Cross-functional team member supporting all applicable internal departments including design, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, program management and suppliers to ensure a flawless program launch. Many of these contacts will be in regions outside Mexico.
