Project Buyer

Effectively managing supplier cost and risk performance of the sourced suppliers supporting all assigned projects.

What you’ll do:

• Contribute towards the winning of OEM airbag business by managing direct material cost data during proposal phase.
• Effectively managing supplier cost and risk performance of the sourced suppliers supporting all assigned projects
• Support awarded airbag projects as the purchasing member on cross-functional teams.
• Pricing negotiations with the suppliers.
• Engaging in risk management activities with the cross-functional teams and working to mitigate those risks as they pertain to the sourced suppliers for the project.

What is required:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in direct material purchasing in projects at automotive industry.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• MS office competency
• Fluent English for business conversations.
• Managing tooling suppliers is desirable.
