What you’ll do:

Establish validation plans (DVP&R’s) for tool, process or design changes for production programs (after SOP). Maintain validation records, DFMEA, part and tool CAD data/drawings and other engineering documents related to changes. Coordinate sample builds and distribution; submit test requests, track testing and compile results into final report. Initiate ECR’s and track throughout change management process (AS7); assure proper execution of steps and approvals. Assure thorough record keeping in PDM system (deviations, test results, ECR’s/ECO’s, etc.) Product Design Engineering responsibilites from SOP through all service obligations. Create new production variants per customer requests for model year updates. Support VEVA workshops and implement VEVA changes as assigned. Participate in workshops for new development projects to share lessons learned and provide manufacturing feasibility feedback.

What is required:

Bachelors Degree / Engineering Degree 

Required Strong communication skills in Spanish and English 

Frist Preference: Prior experience with Steering Wheel and Driver Airbag. Second Preference: 

Prior Experience in various projects that include Class ‘A’ automotive interior components (i.e. Instrument panels, consoles, door panels, shift knobs, seats, etc.) 

Willingness to travel domestically and globally. 

Expectation is average of 25% to areas such as Europe, Asia, US, Mexico and Brazil. 

Drive and ambition towards continuous improvement 

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view.
