Prototype Planning Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing prototype requests from customers, ensuring prototypes are planned, built, and delivered on time while meeting customer expectations and project milestones. You will serve as the key link between customers, program teams, production, engineering, supply chain, and prototype operations to drive flawless execution and delivery.

You will play a critical role in reducing lead times, resolving operational challenges, and improving customer satisfaction through effective planning, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.

Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and driving operational excellence, your role will involve:

• Coordinate and manage prototype requests for Airbag and Seatbelt programs from order receipt through final delivery.

• Act as the main point of contact between customers and internal stakeholders to ensure prototype requirements are clearly understood and executed.

• Collaborate closely with Program Management, Production Control, Engineering, Prototype Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely prototype delivery.

• Monitor prototype schedules, priorities, and milestones while proactively identifying risks and developing recovery plans.

• Resolve operational challenges related to material availability, production constraints, logistics, customs processes, and delivery timelines.

• Support lead-time reduction initiatives and continuously improve prototype planning and execution processes.

• Track prototype performance indicators and contribute to customer satisfaction and on-time delivery objectives.

If you have/are:

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  Advanced English communication skills (spoken and written) are a must.

• 2-5 years of experience in Automotive, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program Management, Planning, or Operations environments.

• General knowledge of Production Planning, Material Planning, Operations, and Supply Chain processes.

• Experience working with data analysis and reporting tools such as Power BI.

• Strong communication, prioritization, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. A proactive mindset with the ability to work across multiple teams and drive execution in a fast-paced environment.
