Customer Quality Engineer
What you’ll do:
• Quality point of contact for assigned OEM customer accounts.
• Leads cross-functional problem-solving teams to investigate quality issues, minimize customer impact, and drive timely resolution.• Coordinate response to customer and supplier rejections, including containment and formal root cause investigation and corrective/preventative action implementation, achieving 5D/8D response in time.
• Manage internal and external containment activities, including inspection instructions, reports, return part for analysis and payment processing.
• Regularly conducts reviews with critical customers regarding quality & delivery performance.
• Responsible for coordinating and ensuring completion of customer quality requested activities across design and manufacturing.
• Drives systemic corrective action and continual improvement for customers through training and implementation and use of an array of quality improvement tools.
• Travel to customer locations to review products and applications and to foster productive working relationships.
• Management of action plans for customer quality concerns.
• Self-Assessment audit management as specific CSR.
• Ensure appropriate and timely communications to support effective and appropriate change management, in accordance with agreed upon customer requirements.
• Customer approval for mass production change and elaboration of full PPAP package.
• Conduct inspections, tests, and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Customer audits and follow-up.
• CSR evaluation and negotiation.
• Investigate the fault and extent of potential recall.
• Examine, measure, inspect and/or test defective part for conformance to engineering design drawings or blueprint specifications using precision.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
