What you’ll do:

Autoliv is currently looking to fill the role of a Designer focusing on the support of the initial design development phase of awarded Airbag Business at our facility in Querétaro, México. The role entails providing design support, concept, prototype and production designs. Designer must be a self-directed, results oriented professional who can meet project deadlines and Company objectives.

Designer will develop cushion designs within the Autoliv standard according the OEMs requirements. Follow the AS07 and AS100 procedure to meet the APDs phases to launch new programs, assuring the manufacturability, quality and functionality of the product. Support the development of VEVA projects and the product thru prototypes phase. Participate in early stages as Pre-APDS, AS108/PSC proposing solutions for cost savings maintaining the manufacturability of the product thru innovation. 
Support Global GPM activities to standardize our products.

 

What is required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Design or related Engineering. 

• Advanced English skills.

• Previous experience in CAD, NX / SolidWorks software and GD&T. 

• Safety restrain experience preferred and related design discipline (Automotive assembly components.
